Container fees apply to all import containers handled at Termont Montréal terminal. Below is the complete fee schedule currently in effect.

  Storage Fees

Fees are based on calendar days the container remains at the terminal after the free period ends.

⚠️ Storage Transfer Policy: During periods of congestion, any import container having stayed more than 10 days at our terminals may be targeted for a transfer. A fee of $385.00 per container applies for local trucking.

  Late Gate Fees

Applicable for pick-up or delivery outside normal operating hours (6am–10pm, Monday–Friday).

Additional Fees

Gate Fee

$63.00 CAD per container — applicable to any full container transported by truck passing through our facilities.

Missing Seal

$265.00 CAD per container — any container detected without a seal before stage 2 terminal entry OCR.

Placards

Addition: $64.00 CAD per placard. Removal: $640.00 CAD flat rate (1, 2, 3 or 4 placards).

Photo Request

$71.00 CAD. Additional charges may apply if the container must be moved to allow photography.

  Late Gate Procedure

To request a late gate entry for import containers (pick-up or delivery outside 6am–10pm, Monday–Friday), follow the steps below.

Send an email to clerks@termont.com with the following information:

  • Container number
  • Billing email address
  • Contact person: full name and telephone number
  • All outstanding storage fees must be settled
  • Appointment window: 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Export containers: Contact the shipping company directly — only the shipping company can guarantee late gate charges.

Tax Notice — International Movements

Fees related to international container movements (import/export) are exempt from GST/QST pursuant to the Excise Tax Act (Canada) and the Act respecting the Québec sales tax. International maritime transportation and related terminal handling services qualify as zero-rated supplies under Schedule VI of the Excise Tax Act.

Domestic movements and ancillary services (e.g., local drayage, re-handling) may be subject to applicable taxes. Please refer to your invoice for the detailed tax breakdown.
